Welding engineering services

An IWE engineer at your side, when software is not enough.

SoluWeld puts its welding engineering expertise at the service of companies' technical and economic development: controlling the quality of welding operations, keeping compliance with applicable regulations, and increasing the added value of the welding department.

Five pillars, from the office to the shop floor.

One-off or ongoing assignments, defined in a written offer stating the need, the location, the lead time and the deliverables.

Technical support

An engineer's opinion on a welding, metallurgy or compliance question, before it becomes a non-conformity.

  • Choice of processes, filler metals and parameters
  • Drafting and review of WPQRs, WPSs and welder qualifications
  • Defect analysis and repair definition

Production follow-up

Welding followed on the ground, at the pace of your fabrications and sites.

  • Site inspection and inspection reports
  • Follow-up of non-destructive testing and deviations
  • Traceability of welders, materials and procedures

Welding coordination

Coordination held by an IWE, for companies that have none in-house or temporarily lack one.

  • Preparation and support for ISO 3834 audits
  • Weld books and manufacturing records
  • Review of requirements and client specifications

Studies and development

Integration of new machines, new processes, automation… Studies and tests so decisions rest on facts.

  • Integration of new welding machines and processes
  • Automation and mechanisation of welding operations
  • Destructive tests on coupons with a partner laboratory: tensile, bend, impact, macro, HV10 hardness

Training

Courses designed by a field engineer, on your premises or remotely, for your welders, inspectors and coordinators.

  • Fundamentals of welding metallurgy
  • Procedure and welder qualification (WPQR, WPS, welder qualification)
  • ISO 3834 quality requirements

One written offer, one deliverable, one point of contact.

  1. 1Your need

You describe the situation: fabrication, applicable standard, deadline.

  2. 2The offer

A written offer states the services, location, lead time, applicable documents and price.

  3. 3The work

At the office, in the workshop or on site, by an IWE engineer.

  4. 4The deliverable

Report, procedure, record or training certificate.

Services on quotation, fixed-price or time-based. Travel expenses are billed in addition.

Software and services, together or separately.

Services do not require using SoluWeld, and the software does not require any service. But when you have both, the engineer works directly in your data: the WPQRs drafted, the reports produced and the deviations recorded feed your manufacturing record.
